MAPLE, ONTARIO (June 30, 2010)  – Other than painting their race car, The Skull Motorsports Team of Ralph Andreacchi and Tony Piselli have only made a few minor changes to their Corvette Pro Modified for this year’s Pro Modified Racing Association series.
“We haven’t made many changes this season,” noted car tuner and former team driver Ralph Andreacchi, who has won PMRA events in the past behind the wheel.
Powered by an Al Billes Racing 526-cubic inch Brad Anderson (BAE) Supercharged Hemi, the engine sits between the frame rails of a Tim McAmis Race Car chassis. Behind the engine is a Bruno’s Automotive Products Lenco transmission, and the car is fuelled with an Al Billes Racing fuel system. A Kobelco K-11 supercharger, which Andreacchi said is running a 20 percent overdrive as per NHRA specs, sits atop the engine.

Jegs gives away 2010 Chevrolet Camaro to local racer!

DELAWARE, Ohio (July 15) -- It's been a dozen years since decorated sportsman drag racer Gary Winkelman has owned a muscle car, but those days are over as officials with JEGS High Performance randomly selected the 62-year-old New Yorker as the big winner of its summer-long JEGS "Win This Car! Celebrating 50 Years" Sweepstakes.

As such, Winkelman will soon take ownership of a beautiful 2010 JEGS yellow and black Chevrolet Camaro. He is planning on picking up the car July 28 from JEGS and will tour the facilities.

"As you can imagine getting the call from JEGS was quite a surprise," Winkelman said. "I'm a bit overwhelmed but very pleased. Performance cars have always been a passion of mine."

Married for 41 years, the father of two and grandfather of two more worked as an electrical engineer for Eastman Kodak in Rochester, N.Y., for most of his adult life.
